Morocco’s Neil El Aynaoui begins RB Leipzig chapter with first training
Morocco international Neil El Aynaoui has begun training with RB Leipzig after completing his move from Italian club Roma.
The German side officially announced the signing on Tuesday, with El Aynaoui taking part in his first training session with the club on Wednesday.
The 2026-27 season-long loan deal also includes an option for Leipzig to sign the Moroccan midfielder permanently at the end of the campaign.
El Aynaoui starts new chapter in Germany
The 24-year-old will now work with Leipzig’s technical staff as he prepares for his first competitive matches with the Bundesliga club.
His arrival comes after a summer move from Roma, where he had been contracted before securing the switch to Germany.
Leipzig retain option to make deal permanent
El Aynaoui’s agreement with Leipzig initially covers the 2026-27 season.
However, the German club have also negotiated an option to make the transfer permanent once the loan spell ends, giving the Moroccan international an opportunity to establish himself in Germany.
His first training session marks the beginning of a new chapter in his club career as he looks to make an impact at Leipzig.
