Moroccan international Abdessamad Ezzalzouli has reportedly ruled out a January departure from Real Betis, despite interest from several European clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain and a potential return to Barcelona.

The 24-year-old winger has decided to continue his development with the Andalusian club, where he believes he has found the confidence, regular playing time and stability needed to progress his career.

According to Spanish newspaper Sport, Ezzalzouli has closed the door on a possible transfer during the upcoming winter window.

Africa Foot, citing sources close to the player, also reports that the Moroccan has no intention of leaving Real Betis in January 2027.

His priority is to maintain his current position at the club and establish himself as one of its leading attacking players during an important season.

PSG and Barcelona not in Ezzalzouli’s plans

Paris Saint-Germain have emerged as one of the clubs monitoring the Moroccan winger as they consider strengthening their attacking options following the injury to Khvica Kvaratskhelia.

However, Ezzalzouli is reportedly unwilling to consider a move to the French champions in the middle of the season.

A potential return to Barcelona is also not part of his immediate plans, despite the Catalan club retaining 20% of his rights.

Sources close to the player have reportedly denied that any discussions have taken place with Barcelona over a possible transfer, dismissing suggestions of a deal both now and during last summer’s transfer window.

Real Betis determined to keep Moroccan winger

Real Betis are also understood to have no intention of facilitating Ezzalzouli’s departure.

The Morocco international is contracted to the Spanish club until June 2029, with his agreement reportedly containing a release clause worth approximately €60m.

The clause reflects the importance he has gained within the club’s sporting project and provides a significant obstacle for any potential suitors.

With his current contract running for several more seasons, Betis are in a strong position regarding the winger’s future.

Ezzalzouli enjoying productive season in Spain

The Moroccan has made an encouraging start to the current campaign, recording four goals and one assist in 11 official appearances.

He has accumulated 874 minutes of playing time, further demonstrating his growing importance to the Andalusian side.

His progress follows an impressive previous campaign in which he scored 10 goals and provided eight assists in 29 Spanish league appearances, according to figures reported by Africa Foot.

At 24, Ezzalzouli believes he still has considerable room for improvement and is unwilling to rush into another European adventure.
