Vasteras SK bring Sweden-Nigeria defender Peter Amoran back from Italy
Swedish-Nigerian centre-back Peter Amoran has joined Vasteras SK from Parma, returning to Sweden after a spell in Italian football. The 22-year-old defender completed the move on 30 August 2026 and has agreed a contract running until 31 December 2029.
Amoran arrives at Vasteras after spending the previous season with Parma, having returned to the Serie A club following a loan spell at Cesena. He made the temporary switch to Cesena in August 2025 before going back to Parma at the end of June 2026.
The defender spent much of the 2024-25 campaign away from Parma, joining Perugia on loan in August 2024. His series of temporary moves followed his progression into Parma’s senior set-up after initially joining the club’s under-19 team from Swedish side Ostersund in September 2022.
Amoran was part of the Parma squad that won the Italian second-tier title in the 2023-24 season. He joined the club’s senior team during that campaign after beginning the season with Parma Under-19s, adding a league winners’ medal to his early career.
Born in Abuja on 22 May 2004, Amoran holds Swedish and Nigerian nationality. He stands 1.92m tall and is a right-footed centre-back, attributes that give Vasteras a sizeable defensive option as he begins a new stage of his career in the Allsvenskan.
The move takes Amoran from Parma’s top-flight environment back to the country where he began his senior football journey. Before moving to Italy, he played for Ostersund and IFK Ostersund, having also spent time with Sundsvall Under-17s.
His transfer history includes a previous free move from IFK Ostersund to Ostersund in January 2022, followed by his move to Parma’s youth ranks later that year. The spells at Perugia and Cesena then gave him experience away from his parent club before his return to Parma this summer.
Amoran’s arrival was registered on 30 August, and his new deal keeps him at Vasteras through the end of 2029. The Swedish club have therefore secured the defender from Parma as he leaves Italy after three seasons connected with the club.
