Rennes negotiate Djaoui Cisse and Ismael Doukoure transfer deal

Stade Rennais are trying to turn a late-summer transfer puzzle into a double win by linking the futures of Djaoui Cisse and Ismael Doukoure.

Rennes want Strasbourg to take Cisse, but only if the Alsace club also include Doukoure in the package. The idea is to narrow the gap between what the two sides want and make the deal easier to complete.

Cisse, 22, is said to be keen on joining Strasbourg and has already given his approval for the move. Reports in France suggest the Racing Club have tabled an offer worth about €12 million plus €3 million in bonuses, while Rennes are hoping for something closer to €20 million. That difference has slowed talks, even though the midfielder remains a priority for Strasbourg.

Rennes believe Doukoure could solve part of the problem. The 22-year-old defender fits the profile the Breton club are looking for, and his inclusion would make the exchange more attractive. One insider summed up the situation by saying a package involving Doukoure would make the deal “perfect.”

With the window closing fast, both clubs now have a clear choice: compromise and move quickly, or risk missing out on a solution that benefits everyone.
