Fiorentina submit loan offer for Joshua Zirkzee
Fiorentina have made a formal move for Joshua Zirkzee, setting up a possible switch from Manchester United to Serie A.
The Italian club want a loan deal with an option to buy, and they are prepared to cover a €5 million loan fee as well as the striker’s full salary.
The 25-year-old, who joined United with high expectations, is now being linked with a fresh start in Florence. Reports in Italy say Zirkzee has already given the move his approval, although other sources suggest he is still weighing up the offer before making a final decision.
Fiorentina are looking to strengthen their attack as they prepare for life after Moise Kean, who is expected to complete a move to Como 1907. Zirkzee would be a natural replacement, offering Serie A experience, technical quality and a different profile up front.
His situation at Old Trafford has become uncertain, and a temporary move could give him the regular playing time he needs. For Fiorentina, the deal would be a relatively low-risk way to add a proven forward. For Zirkzee, it could be the chance to reset his career in a league where he has already shown he can make an impact.
