HSV make third push for Zakaria El Ouahdi

Hamburger SV are still chasing Zakaria El Ouahdi and may now try one final time to land the Genk right wing-back.

After two rejected offers, the Bundesliga club is preparing a third bid that could finally crack the deadlock.

The 24-year-old Moroccan international has become HSV’s clear priority for the right-sided role. He is under contract with KRC Genk until 2028, which explains why the Belgian club has not been easy to convince. Still, the latest report suggests Hamburg believe they are closer than before to reaching an agreement.

El Ouahdi would reportedly welcome a move to the Elbe city, which gives HSV an encouraging starting point. His profile fits the club’s need for energy, width and defensive reliability on the flank, and his experience in Europe and at international level adds to his appeal.

Genk have already turned down two approaches, but the third proposal is being described as a decisive one. If HSV improve their offer enough, the deal could move quickly. If not, Hamburg may have to turn to their alternative target, Bayer Leverkusen’s Arthur, as the transfer window continues to move toward its closing stages.
