Paris Saint-Germain are already laying the groundwork for the summer 2027 transfer window, with scouts monitoring a group of young Ligue 1 players, according to PSGInside-Actus.
The club’s recruitment department is expected to attend several upcoming league matches as it assesses potential targets, with particular attention being paid to emerging African talent in France’s top flight.
The players reportedly being followed include RC Lens defender Ismaelo Ganiou, Stade Rennais pair Mahamadou Nagida and Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal, RC Strasbourg midfielder Samir El Mourabet and AS Monaco forward Paris Brunner. Toulouse FC goalkeeper Guillaume Restes is also understood to be under consideration as part of the club’s wider monitoring.
PSG’s aim is to identify players who could develop under manager Luis Enrique and eventually become part of the first-team project. The approach reflects the club’s recent focus on high-potential youngsters, including Desire Doue and Warren Zaire-Emery.
Defensive options under review
Ganiou has already attracted interest from Paris, with PSG reportedly attempting to position themselves for the RC Lens defender during the last summer transfer window. The club is understood to view him as a young centre-back with the potential to progress towards the highest level.
Nagida is another player believed to have made a strong impression. The Cameroon international plays for Stade Rennais and is reportedly being watched by PSG, although they face competition from Inter Milan and FC Porto, as reported by Africafoot.
Stade Rennais defender Ait Boudlal is also on the Paris club’s list of players to assess. The Morocco international fits the profile of a young defender who could develop over time as PSG gradually refresh their defensive options.
No transfer has been announced for either Nagida or Ait Boudlal, and the interest remains at the observation stage.
Midfield and attacking targets
El Mourabet, who plays for RC Strasbourg, is being monitored for his technical qualities. His ability on the ball, mobility and passing could suit the style associated with Luis Enrique. PSGInside-Actus reports that Luis Campos is taking a particular interest in the Morocco midfielder.
Paris Brunner is also being followed by PSG. The AS Monaco forward is regarded as a player with significant attacking potential, although it remains uncertain whether the club will make a formal approach in a future transfer window.
Restes provides an additional option being assessed outside the group of African prospects. The Toulouse FC goalkeeper could become relevant if the situation involving Lucas Chevalier changes, although no concrete move for Restes has been confirmed.
PSG’s strategy is to plan ahead rather than rush into transfers. Ligue 1 offers the club a close view of players who could improve over several seasons, and the coming weeks should provide a clearer indication of which names develop into genuine recruitment priorities.
