Richie Omorowa joins Utrecht U21 from Samsunspor on loan

Swedish-Ivorian centre-forward Richie Omorowa has joined Utrecht U21 from Samsunspor on loan, completing a move to the Netherlands on 28 August 2026.

The 22-year-old leaves Samsunspor, who compete in Turkey’s Super Lig, for Utrecht’s second team in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie. The transfer is a temporary switch, with Omorowa moving directly from one professional league set-up to another.

Omorowa’s arrival gives Utrecht U21 a centre-forward with experience of playing in Turkey’s top division. His listed position is centre-forward, defining the role he will take up after making the move from Samsunspor.

The transfer also represents a change of footballing environment for a player who holds Swedish and Ivorian nationality. Omorowa will now continue his career in the Netherlands, with Utrecht U21 competing in the country’s second tier.
