Bayern Munich weigh approach for PSG prospect Ibrahim Mbaye
Bayern Munich are assessing whether to make a move for Paris Saint-Germain winger Ibrahim Mbaye, with the German club having reportedly asked about the conditions of a possible transfer for the 18-year-old Senegal international.
According to Nicolo Schira, Mbaye’s profile has attracted the attention of Bayern’s recruitment team. The Bundesliga club is understood to be gathering information about the player’s situation before deciding whether to pursue a formal deal.
Mbaye is keen to take the next step in his career and is reportedly open to leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer. A lack of regular first-team opportunities at PSG has led the teenager to consider a move that would give him a more prominent role and allow him to continue his development.
Bayern Munich are therefore following the situation closely. The club is currently examining the available options, including the financial and sporting conditions of any potential transfer, before determining whether to make a concrete offer for the young Parisian talent.
Mbaye remains under contract with PSG until June 2028. His current market value is estimated at €30 million by Transfermarkt, a figure that could become a significant factor in negotiations should Bayern decide to step up their interest.
The winger is reported to earn €910,000 per year in France, equivalent to 591,500,000 FCFA. His long-term contract and valuation could both influence PSG’s position if the Bavarian club makes an approach.
For Mbaye, the prospect of greater playing time is central to the situation. Although he remains tied to PSG for three more years, the Senegal international is believed to be considering his options as he seeks a clearer pathway into regular senior football.
PSG will soon play their second Ligue 1 match of the season against Lille. The fixture could provide further attention on the club’s attacking options and on Mbaye’s place within the squad, although Bayern’s interest remains at the monitoring stage for now.
The betting company 1xBet lists PSG as the favourites for the match, with a home win priced at 1.75. A draw is offered at 4.00, while Lille are priced at 3.35 to win.
