Frankfurt linked with France-Mali midfielder Djaoui Cisse of Stade Rennais

France-Mali midfielder Djaoui Cisse is the subject of a rumoured move from Stade Rennais to Frankfurt, with a potential transfer taking the 22-year-old from Ligue 1 to the Bundesliga.

Cisse plays in central midfield and has been part of the Rennes senior set-up since moving up from Rennes B in July 2024. He joined the club’s reserve side from the Rennes under-17 team in 2021, having arrived in the academy from Bretigny’s youth system.

The midfielder has yet to make an appearance for Rennes in Ligue 1 this season, with the campaign’s available records showing no starts or minutes from the club’s opening fixture. He remains under contract at Stade Rennais until 30 June 2030.

Cisse’s current market value is listed at €10m, while his highest recorded valuation has been €15m. No transfer fee or probability has been attached to the reported link with Frankfurt.

A move would represent Cisse’s first transfer away from Rennes, where he has spent his development years and progressed into the first-team squad. The rumour was recorded on 27 August 2026, but the proposed switch to Frankfurt has not been confirmed.
