Cameroon forward Solomon Nsoh Asaah moves to Ghana giants Asante Kotoko

Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have strengthened their attacking options with the signing of promising Cameroonian forward Solomon Nsoh Asaah.

The 21-year-old has joined the Porcupine Warriors from Cameroonian side AS Fortuna and has signed a two-year contract after successfully completing his medical examination.

The Kumasi-based club confirmed the transfer in a statement on Wednesday, 26 August.

“Asante Kotoko is pleased to announce the signing of Cameroonian forward Solomon Nsoh Asaah on a two-year contract following the successful completion of his medical examination,” the club announced.

Nsoh arrives after impressive spell in Cameroon

Nsoh moves to Ghana after an encouraging spell with AS Fortuna, where he scored nine goals and registered three assists in 17 appearances.

His arrival gives Asante Kotoko another attacking option as coach Eric Tinkler prepares his squad for the 2026/27 football season.

The young forward is primarily a centre-forward but can also operate from either wing, giving the South African coach greater flexibility when setting up his attack.

Cameroon youth international joins Kotoko

Nsoh has already represented Cameroon at under-20 level and was recently called up to the country’s under-23 squad.

His move to one of Ghana’s biggest clubs represents an opportunity to continue his development while gaining experience in Ghana’s top flight.

Asante Kotoko will hope his goalscoring record in Cameroon can translate into consistent performances in the Ghana Premier League.

Nsoh will wear the number 23 shirt during the 2026/27 season.

Nsoh excited by new challenge

The Cameroonian forward said he was ready to embrace the move and work within Tinkler’s tactical plans.

“This is an important step in my career as I am still young. However, age is irrelevant if one is capable. The coach has a plan regarding our playing style and I believe I have adapted well and am ready for the season.”
