Konyaspor agree deal for Olivier Ntcham as Cameroon midfielder starts new Super Lig chapter
Olivier Ntcham has reached an agreement with Konyaspor and is preparing to continue his career in the Super Lig after becoming a free agent at the end of his time with Samsunspor.
The Cameroon international midfielder is expected to complete a move to the Turkish top flight club once the remaining administrative details have been settled. The transfer is due to be officially confirmed in the coming hours, with a medical examination also required before the switch can be completed.
Ntcham’s departure from Samsunspor leaves him ready to begin a fresh chapter in Turkey, where he is set to remain in the Super Lig. He had been without a club following the conclusion of his spell with Samsunspor.
The midfielder has agreed terms with the Konyaspor hierarchy, who identified his experience and creativity as important qualities for their midfield. His arrival is intended to strengthen the centre of the pitch for a club with ambitions for the season ahead.
Ntcham has produced notable performances in recent seasons and will join Konyaspor with a reputation as a player capable of organising play. That role is expected to make him a key part of the side’s plans once the transfer has been formally completed.
Konyaspor are now waiting for the final paperwork and the routine medical process to be concluded before announcing the move. Until those steps are completed, the agreement remains subject to official confirmation.
For Ntcham, the proposed transfer offers the opportunity to continue his career at the highest level of Turkish football after his spell with Samsunspor came to an end. For Konyaspor, it represents the addition of a Cameroon international whose ability to bring structure, invention and experience to midfield fits the profile the club has been seeking.
The move will be confirmed after the outstanding administrative matters and medical have been dealt with.
