Frosinone bring Cameroon-France defender Enzo Tchato to Serie A

Cameroon-France right-back Enzo Tchato has joined Frosinone from Montpellier in a €800,000 transfer, moving from France’s Ligue 2 to Italy’s Serie A.

The 23-year-old has signed a contract with Frosinone running until 30 June 2030. Tchato, who was born in Montpellier, becomes part of the Italian club’s defensive options after spending his entire senior career with Montpellier.

Tchato made two Ligue 2 appearances for Montpellier, playing 180 minutes. He featured twice at the start of the 2026-27 campaign before completing his move to Frosinone on 25 August.

The right-back began his progression through Montpellier’s youth system, joining the club’s under-17 side in 2017. He subsequently moved through the under-19 and reserve teams before joining Montpellier’s senior squad in July 2022.

Tchato is a naturally right-footed defender and stands 1.82m tall. His arrival gives Frosinone a player who has developed in the French system and is now taking up a new challenge in Italy’s top division.

The transfer fee of €800,000 is below Tchato’s listed market value of €2.5m. His highest recorded market value was €3m.

He leaves Montpellier after progressing from the club’s academy to the first team and switches to Frosinone on a contract that lasts through the end of the 2029-30 season.
