Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang continues scoring for Deportivo La Coruña

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored in each of his first two games for Deportivo La Coruña after the Gabon striker struck again in the victory over Malaga.

The 37-year-old, who joined the Spanish club this summer after leaving Olympique de Marseille, found the net for the second consecutive match to take his career tally to 427 goals.

Aubameyang’s latest goal underlined the immediate impact he has made since arriving at Deportivo. Despite being in the latter stages of his career, the Gabon international has quickly settled into his new surroundings and continued to provide the goals that have defined his career.

According to Transfermarkt data, Aubameyang has now scored 40 times for Gabon and 387 goals at club level.

His two goals in his opening two appearances for Deportivo represent an impressive beginning to his latest chapter in Spanish football. The striker has wasted little time in demonstrating that his instinct in front of goal remains as strong as ever.

Aubameyang arrived at Deportivo after a spell with Marseille, adding another club to a career that has taken him across several of Europe’s major leagues.

Before joining Marseille, he had established himself at a number of prominent clubs, including Saint-Étienne, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal and Barcelona.

His time at those clubs produced a significant number of goals and helped establish Aubameyang as one of the most consistent African goalscorers of his generation.

His latest move has brought another opportunity to add to those numbers, and his opening two matches suggest he intends to make the most of it.

The Gabonese striker’s ability to adapt quickly has been a notable feature of his start at Deportivo. Having arrived at a new club at the age of 37, he has immediately provided the attacking threat expected from him.

His latest strike against Malaga also adds another milestone to a career already filled with personal achievements.

Aubameyang’s scoring record has remained a central part of his career, and his latest goals have again highlighted his desire to remain decisive whenever he takes the field.

With two goals already in his first two matches for Deportivo, the Gabon captain has made an early statement about what he wants from this latest stage of his career.

For a player who has spent years competing at the highest level, the target remains the same: score goals, influence matches and continue adding to an already impressive record.
