Pogba’s Cheshire mansion price cut as former Manchester United star seeks fresh start

Paul Pogba has reduced the asking price of his luxury mansion in Cheshire by about €520,000 as he continues his search for a buyer.

The property, which the former Manchester United midfielder first put on the market after buying it in 2017, is now being offered for about €4.04m. Its price was previously listed at €4.56m, according to the Daily Mail.

The reduction comes as Pogba looks for a new club after his short spell with Monaco ended prematurely. Reports have suggested that a number of Major League Soccer clubs are interested in signing the France international as he attempts to revive his football career.

The Cheshire property covers approximately 690 square metres and is fitted with a range of high-end features. It has five bedrooms, a private cinema, a fully equipped modern gym and a dedicated treatment room.

It also includes an indoor football pitch, built specifically for Pogba to enjoy one of his favourite pastimes.

Despite its expensive facilities, the mansion is also associated with a distressing experience for the player and his family. The property was burgled in 2022 while Pogba was in Madrid with Manchester United for a Champions League match against Atletico de Madrid.

Pogba’s children were asleep inside the house when the incident took place. He later described the burglary as the “worst nightmare” his family had experienced.

That episode has given the property a painful significance for Pogba, even though several years have passed since the break-in. The house has remained on the market despite its size, location and extensive amenities.

Pogba’s decision to sell comes during a period of major uncertainty in both his personal and professional life. The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner has been attempting to find the next stage of his career after his time at Monaco came to an early end.

Interest from clubs in Major League Soccer could provide him with an opportunity to return to regular football and put his recent difficulties behind him. In the meantime, the reduction in the mansion’s asking price represents another attempt to complete a sale that has yet to be finalised.

The property remains one of the area’s most distinctive homes, thanks in particular to the combination of leisure, training and recovery facilities included in its design. However, with no buyer secured so far, Pogba has now lowered the price in the hope of attracting renewed interest.
