Fiorentina target Inter forward Ange-Yoan Bonny in late transfer push

Fiorentina are exploring a move for Inter forward Ange-Yoan Bonny as they seek to complete one final major signing before the transfer window closes.

According to journalist Ekrem Konur, the Serie A club have identified Bonny as one of the attacking options they are considering as they look to strengthen their forward line.

Bonny joined Inter last summer from Parma in a deal reported to be worth €23m. Despite having only recently made the move to the Nerazzurri, the Ivory Coast international continues to attract interest because of his performances and potential.

Fiorentina are now prepared to test Inter’s resolve by attempting to persuade the Italian champions to allow the striker to leave. However, any deal is expected to require a significant financial commitment.

Tuttosport reports that Inter would only be willing to enter discussions if Fiorentina presented an offer of at least €40m. That figure would represent a substantial investment for Fiorentina and places the proposed transfer above Bonny’s current estimated market value.

Transfermarkt values the striker at €35m, meaning Inter’s reported asking price is €5m higher than that assessment. Bonny is also under contract with Inter until June 2030, giving the Milan club a strong negotiating position as Fiorentina decide whether to make a formal approach.

Bonny earns an annual income of €3,700,000, equivalent to 2,405,000,000 CFA francs. His long-term contract and the level of fee being requested mean Fiorentina will need to make a decisive move if they are to turn their interest into a concrete bid.

The potential transfer comes shortly before AS Roma face Fiorentina in the opening round of the Italian championship. Betting company 1xBet lists AS Roma as favourites for that match, with a price of 1.58 for a home win. The odds for a draw are 3.90, while Fiorentina are priced at 5.30 to win.

Fiorentina’s interest in Bonny therefore adds another element to their plans for the final stage of the transfer window. The club must now determine whether to meet Inter’s valuation or pursue one of the other attacking profiles under consideration.
