PSG could target Folarin Balogun after Bradley Barcola sale

Paris Saint-Germain could make one final attacking signing before the transfer deadline, with Bradley Barcola’s expected departure potentially creating the funds for a move for Monaco striker Folarin Balogun.

PSG have already enjoyed an ambitious summer, strengthening several areas of the squad with the arrivals of Ferran Torres, Mika Godts, Maghnes Akliouche and Lucas Digne. Yet the club’s transfer plans may not be finished, particularly if Barcola completes a move away from the French capital.

The French forward has played an important role during his time at PSG, but he is not expected to continue with the club. His sale would give the Ligue 1 champions greater flexibility to pursue a replacement before the window shuts.

Balogun has emerged as a possible target. The United States international is under consideration as PSG seek to replenish their attacking options, and part of the money received for Barcola could be used to finance a deal with Monaco.

The move remains dependent on Barcola’s exit being finalised quickly. PSG are monitoring Balogun’s situation closely, but there is no indication that an agreement has been reached with Monaco or the player.

A late move for Balogun would underline PSG’s desire to finish their recruitment with another forward addition.
