Imran Nazih joins NAC Breda senior side from club’s under-21 team
Morocco-Netherlands midfielder Imran Nazih has joined NAC Breda from the club’s under-21 side, taking the 20-year-old into the Dutch second-tier squad on 20 August 2026.
Nazih, a central midfielder born in Amsterdam, has signed a contract with NAC Breda running until 30 June 2028. He moves up after spending the previous season with NAC Breda U21, having joined the club in September 2025.
The midfielder has already made two appearances in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie during the 2026-27 campaign. He has played 89 minutes without scoring or providing an assist, and has not yet started a league match.
His promotion follows a period of rebuilding after leaving FC Volendam in July 2025. Nazih joined NAC Breda’s under-21 squad two months later, having previously been part of Volendam’s senior setup. During his time with FC Volendam, he was part of the side that won the Dutch second-tier championship in 2025.
Nazih began his youth career with Zeeburgia before moving to Ajax’s academy in 2017. He returned to Zeeburgia in 2019 and subsequently joined Volendam’s youth system, progressing into the club’s under-18 squad in 2021. His move into senior football came the following year, when he joined FC Volendam from Volendam U18.
At 1.78m, Nazih is primarily used in central midfield. His move into NAC Breda’s first-team group gives the club another midfield option as the new season progresses, while also marking the next stage of a pathway that has taken him from Amsterdam youth football to the professional ranks.
Nazih’s arrival at NAC Breda U21 came after he had left FC Volendam without a club, and he has now moved into the club’s senior squad after less than a year in its development setup.
The completed move keeps Nazih at NAC Breda and places him under contract with the club until the end of June 2028.
