Alieu Fadera linked with Cagliari move from Como

The Gambia winger Alieu Fadera is the subject of a reported move from Serie A club Como to fellow Italian top-flight side Cagliari.

Fadera, 24, joined Como from Belgian side Genk in August 2024 in a €5m transfer and remains under contract until 30 June 2028. The proposed move would keep him in Serie A, where he has recorded three goals and six assists in 56 appearances.

He spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Sassuolo, with the temporary deal ending on 30 June 2026, and has since returned to Como. Sassuolo paid a €1m loan fee for the Gambian, who had previously established himself in Belgium with Genk and Zulte Waregem.

Fadera began his European career with Slovak club Pohronie after leaving Real de Banjul in The Gambia. He later moved to Zulte Waregem before joining Genk in 2023.

The left winger, who prefers his right foot, has also made 69 appearances in the Belgian top flight, scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists. His current market value is listed at €4.5m, although no fee has been reported for a potential transfer to Cagliari.

For now, Fadera remains a Como player, with two years left on his existing contract.
