Casalarreina re-sign Algerian-Spanish winger Abderrahman Akbache

Algerian-Spanish winger Abderrahman Akbache has joined Casalarreina as a free agent, returning to the Spanish club on a contract running until 30 June 2027.

The 20-year-old right winger previously represented Casalarreina during the 2024-25 season after joining from Velez CF on a free transfer. He left the club on 1 July 2025 and was without a club before completing his return on 19 August 2026.

Akbache made 14 appearances in Segunda Federacion Group IV during his previous spell with Casalarreina, playing 891 minutes. He did not score in the recorded competition appearances.

Born in Vitoria-Gasteiz on 25 August 2005, Akbache stands 1.81m tall and prefers to use his right foot. His primary position is on the right wing, where he will add an attacking option to the Casalarreina squad.

Before his first move to Casalarreina, Akbache played for Velez CF. He joined Velez’s senior side from Velez CF B on 4 February 2024, completing the step up from the club’s reserve team.

His return gives Casalarreina a player with previous experience of the club and of competition in Spain’s Segunda Federacion. The move also marks the latest stage of a career that has included spells with Velez CF B, Velez CF and Casalarreina.

Akbache’s deal keeps him at Casalarreina through the end of June 2027, following the completion of his move from free agency.
