Napoli’s Nosa Obaretin emerges as Sturm Graz transfer target
Italian-Nigerian centre-back Nosa Edward Obaretin is the subject of a rumoured move from Napoli to Austrian Bundesliga club Sturm Graz.
Obaretin, 23, is currently contracted to Napoli, who compete in Serie A. His contract is due to expire on 30 June 2027, leaving more than one year remaining on his current deal at the time the rumour was recorded.
The proposed move would take Obaretin from Italy’s top division to the Austrian Bundesliga, with Sturm Graz identified as the club interested in signing him. His listed market value is €1.5 million, a figure that provides an indication of his current valuation in the transfer market, although no transfer fee has been reported in connection with the rumour.
Obaretin’s position is centre-back, and he holds both Italian and Nigerian nationality. The link with Sturm Graz was dated 19 August 2026, with the rumour concerning a player who remains under contract with Napoli rather than one approaching an immediate free transfer.
No probability or agreement details have been attached to the reported interest, and there has been no confirmation that the clubs have reached formal terms. For now, the information places Obaretin at the centre of a possible move to Austria while his Napoli contract remains active until June 2027.
