FC St. Gallen weigh move for Union Touarga striker Tawfik Bentayeb

Morocco striker Tawfik Bentayeb is the subject of transfer interest from FC St. Gallen, with the Swiss Super League club linked with a move for the Union Touarga forward.

Bentayeb, 24, has been valued at €8m and is contracted to Union Touarga, where he has played since joining the Moroccan club in September 2021. The centre-forward’s current status means any move would require an agreement between the two clubs.

The Casablanca-born striker finished the 2025-26 season as the leading scorer in Ligue 2, registering 18 goals. That return has helped establish Bentayeb as a notable attacking option in the current transfer market, while St. Gallen’s interest would offer him the possibility of continuing his career in Switzerland.

Bentayeb is a left-footed forward and represents Union Touarga Sportif at national-club level. He has spent the bulk of his senior career with Union Touarga, and the club-to-club link with St. Gallen is the latest development around his future.

No transfer has been confirmed, and there is no reported agreement on a fee or personal terms. For now, Bentayeb remains a Union Touarga player as speculation continues over a possible move to FC St. Gallen.
