Hakim Aklidou: Morocco centre-back switches to Kenitra after USM Oujda exit
Hakim Aklidou, the 29-year-old Morocco centre-back, has joined Kenitra on a free transfer from USM Oujda.
The move was completed on 18 August 2026, bringing the experienced defender to the Moroccan club without a transfer fee. Aklidou’s arrival marks a change of club within Morocco, with Kenitra becoming his new home after his spell at USM Oujda.
Aklidou plays primarily in central defence and stands 1.89m tall. The right-footed defender offers Kenitra a physically imposing option at the heart of the back line, with his main role centred on defensive duties.
Born on 2 July 1997, Aklidou arrives at Kenitra at the age of 29. His nationality is Moroccan, and the move keeps him in his home country as he begins the next stage of his career.
His previous club, USM Oujda, is the latest side in a career that has now taken him to Kenitra. The transfer was recorded on the same date as his move, and he is listed as a Kenitra player following the switch.
The deal is a free transfer, meaning Kenitra have secured the defender without paying a fee to USM Oujda. No contract length has been disclosed for Aklidou’s time with the club.
The defender’s profile is defined by his position, height and preferred right foot. At 1.89m, he brings a notable physical presence to central defence, while his experience at senior level adds to the profile of a player joining Kenitra in the latter stages of his twenties.
For Aklidou, the move represents a direct transition from USM Oujda to Kenitra. For Kenitra, it adds a Moroccan central defender to their squad and completes the club’s acquisition of the player.
Aklidou has therefore left USM Oujda and joined Kenitra as a free agent on 18 August 2026.
