Lassine Sinayoko scored twice and supplied two assists as Paris FC beat Rennes 4-3 in a dramatic Ligue 1 encounter on Sunday, 18 October 2026.
The Mali international was involved in every Paris FC goal, first creating the opening two for Maxime Lopez before taking control of the match in front of goal.
Sinayoko set up Lopez for both of Paris FC’s first-half strikes, then added his own name to the scoresheet in the 76th minute. He completed his double by converting a penalty in added time, securing victory for the hosts after a match full of momentum swings.
Rennes forward Esteban Lepaul scored a hat-trick, but his three goals were not enough to prevent Paris FC from claiming all three points. Sinayoko’s contribution ultimately proved decisive in a seven-goal contest.
The performance strengthens the Malian’s impressive start to the Ligue 1 campaign. He now has six goals and three assists in the league, giving him nine direct goal contributions.
With six league goals, Sinayoko is among the competition’s leading scorers. He is level below Lepaul, who has scored seven times.
His display also underlined his growing importance to Paris FC’s attack. Sinayoko showed he can influence matches both as a finisher and as a creator, providing the final pass as well as finding the net himself.
The victory over Rennes was one of the standout performances of the seventh matchday, with Sinayoko at the centre of nearly everything Paris FC produced in attack. His two goals completed a decisive individual contribution in a match where both sides repeatedly threatened to take control.
Paris FC will next face Lens in their eighth league match. The fixture will follow a result that leaves Sinayoko firmly established as one of the key figures in the Parisian side’s attacking play.
