Egypt FA Sets 18 August Date for 2026-27 Egypt Cup Preliminary Round Draw

The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) will hold the draw for the first preliminary round of the 2026-27 Egypt Cup on Tuesday, 18 August 2026.

The draw will involve clubs and youth centres competing in the second, third and fourth divisions, with the EFA notifying the participating teams of the arrangements in an official letter.

The draw is scheduled to begin at 13:00 local time and will take place online via Google Meet. Teams have been asked to ensure that their representatives attend the meeting at the appointed time.

The EFA said the link to the online meeting would be sent to the clubs on Tuesday, 18 August.

The preliminary-round draw forms part of the preparations for the new Egypt Cup season.

Pyramids were crowned Egypt Cup champions last season, securing the trophy for the second time in their history after beating ZED in the final.
