Pyramids FC target Algerian striker Nadhir Benbouali after prolific ETO FC season

Algerian striker Nadhir Benbouali has been linked with a move from ETO FC to Egyptian Premier League club Pyramids FC.

Benbouali, 26, joined ETO FC permanently from Belgian side R Charleroi SC in July 2025 after previously spending the 2024-25 season on loan with the Hungarian club. The transfer fee was €600,000 and his contract with ETO FC runs until 30 June 2029.

The centre-forward scored 15 goals during the 2025-26 campaign, finishing as ETO FC’s second-highest scorer as the club won the Hungarian championship. That record has placed the Algeria international on Pyramids’ radar as the Egyptian club considers attacking options.

Benbouali has made one appearance for Algeria at the 2026 World Cup and scored once, although he has yet to feature for ETO FC in the 2026-27 Hungarian top flight or in European qualifying this season.

The forward began his senior career with Algerian club Paradou AC before moving to Charleroi in 2022. He was also Ligue 1’s top scorer in the 2021-22 season.

No transfer fee or agreement has been specified in relation to the prospective move, while Benbouali remains under contract at ETO FC until 2029.
