Ferran Torres set to join Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona in €50m deal

Paris Saint-Germain have reached an agreement with Barcelona to sign Ferran Torres for €50m, excluding add-ons, with the Spain forward set to sign a five-year contract.

Mundo Deportivo reports that the two clubs have settled the value of the transfer, bringing Torres closer to a move to the French side.

The 26-year-old has also agreed with Barcelona that he will not take part in training until the deal is completed, according to Marca. Torres informed Barcelona officials last week that he had accepted Paris Saint-Germain’s offer and wanted to work with Luis Enrique again.

He is expected to travel to the French capital once Barcelona give him permission to leave. Torres will then undergo a medical before his transfer to Paris Saint-Germain can be finalised.

Torres played 49 matches for Barcelona in all competitions during the 2025-2026 season and scored 21 goals.

The forward also helped Spain win the 2026 World Cup, scoring the winning goal in the 106th minute of the second period of extra time.

That goal took Torres’ international tally to 25 in 65 appearances for Spain.

Torres finished the previous season as Barcelona’s leading scorer, having found the net 16 times for the Catalan club. His goals helped Barcelona win La Liga for a second successive season after a title race with Real Madrid.

Barcelona also retained the Spanish Super Cup, beating Real Madrid 3-2 in the final. It was their second consecutive triumph in that competition.

Torres joined Barcelona after previously playing in the Premier League with Manchester City and in La Liga with Valencia. His proposed move to Paris Saint-Germain would reunite him with Luis Enrique, who is currently in charge of the French club.

Barcelona will begin the new season against Elche in the opening round of La Liga at the Manuel Martinez Valero Stadium.
