Al Ittihad Alexandria agree deal with Pyramids FC for 19th summer signing
Al Ittihad Alexandria have reached an agreement with Pyramids FC to sign Zambian winger and playmaker Pascal Fery during the current summer transfer window.
The deal has been agreed between the two clubs, according to FilGoal.com, although Fery will become Al Ittihad Alexandria’s 19th signing of the summer only once the transfer is formally completed.
Fery, 21, can operate either as a winger or an attacking midfielder. He joined Pyramids FC as a free agent in January and made one appearance for the club in the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
His only outing came against Zambian side Power Dynamos, when he played for 18 minutes.
The prospective move is the latest in an extensive rebuilding programme at Al Ittihad Alexandria, who have made a series of additions across their squad during the close season.
Their incoming players include goalkeeper Ali El Gabry from Ceramica Cleopatra on a four-year contract, while midfielder Nour Alaa has joined Ceramica Cleopatra on a season-long loan. Midfielder Mohamed Toni has also arrived from Ceramica Cleopatra, signing a three-year deal.
Al Ittihad Alexandria have brought in Smouha midfielder Al Habib Ahmed Hassan on a two-year contract. Defender Islam Abdellah has joined from ZED FC on a season-long loan, with an option to make the move permanent.
The club have also signed National Bank of Egypt winger Yousry Waheed on loan for a season.
Other additions include Anas Wael from Zamalek SC, Mido Mostafa from Smouha, Mohamed Fakhry from Pharco FC and Modern Sport FC striker Hossam Hassan.
Khaled Massad, Abdelrahman Hesham and Ahmed El Shazly are also among the players recruited by the club this summer. Right-back Moamen Awad has joined from Haras El Hodoud, while defender Moataz Mohamed has moved from Al Ahly as a free agent.
Al Ittihad Alexandria have further strengthened their squad with Ahmed Hamdy from Zamalek SC and Ahmed El Araby from Ghazl El Mahalla.
The club have also completed the signing of Ugandan midfielder Kenneth Simakula to add further depth in the centre of the pitch, in addition to the six new signings mentioned by the club.
Fery’s arrival would take Al Ittihad Alexandria’s summer recruitment to 19 players, provided the agreement with Pyramids FC is followed by the completion of his contract.
Several players have left the club during the same transfer period. The departures are Karim El Deeb, Mahmoud Shabana, goalkeeper Mahmoud Abdel Rahim “Gennesh”, Abdel Ghany Mohamed, Amr Khalil, Amr Gomaa, Mohamed Metwally “Kanarya” and Cristovao Mabululo.
