Real Madrid edge past Ferencvarosi TC as second-half goal adds late tension

Real Madrid secured a 2-1 victory over Hungarian side Ferencvarosi TC in a friendly on Saturday, surviving a more dramatic second half after an encounter in which the Spanish side had been clearly superior for most of the game.

Real Madrid began with an attacking approach and created the earlier opportunities, although Ferencvarosi TC briefly threatened during the opening stages. Daniel Arzani tested the Spanish defence with attempts in the fourth and 10th minutes, but neither effort caused serious concern for the Real Madrid goal.

The Hungarian club’s earlier attempts had not seriously troubled Real Madrid, but its presence in the contest meant the visitors still had to maintain their concentration.

The match became more competitive in the second half after Ferencvarosi TC scored. The home side’s goal gave the game a greater sense of uncertainty and ensured Real Madrid could not simply see out the friendly without further pressure.
