Trabzonspor report €12m in Mohamed Salah shirt and season-ticket sales in three days

Trabzonspor have generated about €12m (£10.4m) from season-ticket and Mohamed Salah shirt sales in just three days, according to Turkish broadcaster HT SPOR.

The reported surge in revenue followed the announcement that the Egypt international had joined the Turkish club from Liverpool on a two-year contract.

Salah completed his move to Trabzonspor on a free transfer and signed his contract on Thursday morning. The deal has prompted significant commercial interest, with supporters buying season tickets and shirts bearing the name of the club’s new high-profile signing.

HT SPOR reported that Trabzonspor had brought in approximately €12m from those sales during the short period since the transfer was made public. The figures have not been independently verified, but the report suggests the club has moved quickly to benefit from Salah’s arrival.

The same report said Salah’s guaranteed financial package is worth €17m. That figure consists of an annual salary of €10m and a €7m signing-on bonus, with additional performance-related incentives also included in the contract.

Trabzonspor are understood to be close to recovering the guaranteed value of the agreement through sales revenue generated by the transfer. The club is also preparing a special Mohamed Salah package featuring products designed specifically for sale in his name.

Under the terms of the contract released by Trabzonspor, Salah will receive 20% of the income from official products sold using his name. His agent’s commission is listed as 5% of the deal.

The Turkish club confirmed that the forward’s contract contains further financial bonuses linked to his performances during the two-year spell. Those incentives are separate from the €10m annual wage and the €7m signing payment outlined in the published details.

Salah, 34, spent nine seasons with Liverpool before moving to Trabzonspor. During his time with the Reds, he made 315 appearances, scoring 257 goals and providing 120 assists.

His arrival represents one of the most significant signings in Trabzonspor’s recent history and has immediately affected the club’s commercial activity. The early sales figures reported by HT SPOR indicate the scale of interest surrounding the Egyptian forward, who has now begun a new chapter in Turkey after his long spell at Liverpool.

The revenue estimate was reported on Friday, 7 August 2026, three days after the club announced the agreement with Salah.
