Mohamed Salah undergoes medical ahead of Trabzonspor move

Mohamed Salah has arrived at Acibadem Maslak Hospital in Turkey to undergo a medical before completing his move to Trabzonspor.

The forward reached the hospital on Wednesday as he prepared to join the Turkish club, with a number of supporters gathering outside to welcome him on arrival.

Salah had travelled to Turkey earlier on Tuesday as he moved closer to formally becoming a Trabzonspor player. He wore a Trabzonspor shirt for the first time on the plane after arriving in the country, signalling the imminent completion of the transfer.

The 34-year-old is expected to complete his medical in Trabzon before signing his contract with the club. The agreement will run for two seasons, with Salah set to earn 17 million euros per season, in addition to other clauses and bonuses.

Salah addressed Trabzonspor supporters in a message before the move, saying: “Trabzon, are you ready? I can hear you, and I will see you for the first time.”

His medical is the remaining step before the Turkish club can formally announce his arrival. The presence of fans outside Acibadem Maslak Hospital underlined the scale of interest in the transfer, as supporters waited to greet the forward after his arrival.

Salah’s appearance in Trabzonspor colours on the flight further raised expectations that the move would be completed shortly. He is due to sign the required documents after undergoing the examination, with the two-season agreement and financial terms already stated.

The deal would see Salah receive 17 million euros for each season, alongside additional provisions and performance-related bonuses. Once the medical and contract signing have been completed, he will officially join Trabzonspor.

The transfer process began with Salah’s arrival in Turkey earlier in the day on Tuesday. He then travelled to Acibadem Maslak Hospital, where he was met by supporters seeking to welcome him before his formal move to the Turkish side.
