Egyptian league unveils new crests for Eastern Company ENPPI and Suez National Petrojet

The Egyptian Professional Clubs Association has revealed the new crests for Eastern Company ENPPI and Suez National Petrojet following the merger of the two clubs.

Eastern Company have combined with ENPPI, while Suez National have merged with Petrojet. The two merged teams will compete under their newly established identities in the upcoming Egyptian league season.

The association published the designs on Tuesday, 4 August 2026, ahead of the draw for the competition. The crests were presented as the official symbols of the two clubs after the completion of the mergers.

The Egyptian league draw will take place at 15:00 local time on Wednesday at the Project Goal complex in 6th of October City. Representatives of all clubs taking part in the competition are expected to attend the ceremony.

The forthcoming league season will feature 20 teams. However, the competition will not follow a conventional full home-and-away league format. Instead, the opening phase will be played as a single round, with each team facing the other participating sides once.

After that initial stage, the teams will be divided into two groups with different objectives. The top six will form the championship group and continue competing for the title.

The remaining 14 teams will enter a separate group aimed at avoiding relegation. The division is intended to determine both the championship race and the clubs that will drop into the second tier.

At the end of the season, four teams will be relegated to the second division, while three clubs will be promoted to the top flight.

That process will reduce the size of the Egyptian league to 19 teams for the 2027/28 season. The change means the competition will move from 20 clubs in the forthcoming campaign to a smaller field the season after.

The unveiling of the Eastern Company ENPPI and Suez National Petrojet crests is therefore the latest step in preparing for a season that will feature both new club identities and a revised competition structure.
