Chelsea set €75m asking price as Tottenham track Nicolas Jackson

Tottenham have registered their interest in Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson, adding to the competition for the Senegal international after his loan spell at Bayern Munich.

Chelsea do not intend to retain Jackson, who returned to the club after spending last season with Bayern. The German side decided against making his move permanent after a campaign in which he made 34 appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists.

Jackson’s performances did not convince Bayern’s directors, leaving the former Villarreal player’s next move uncertain. Chelsea are now prepared to consider his departure, with several clubs understood to be monitoring his situation.

Tottenham are the latest side to emerge as potential suitors. According to the Daily Mail, Spurs are following Jackson closely as they assess their options. Their reported interest comes after Aston Villa had also expressed an interest in the striker.

Chelsea have placed a valuation of €75m on the player. That figure is considered excessive by the clubs interested in signing him, however, and no official offer has yet been made.

The asking price could therefore prove to be the main obstacle in any move. While Jackson is not expected to remain at Chelsea, the London club has not received a formal proposal that matches its valuation.

His immediate future remains unresolved as a result. Tottenham’s interest places them among the clubs considering a move, but there is currently no indication that negotiations have reached an advanced stage.
