Vinicius outlines Mourinho’s three-part message as Real Madrid future remains uncertain

Vinicius Junior has revealed the message Jose Mourinho gave him during their first meeting, with the Real Madrid forward saying the Portuguese manager asked him to be happy, positive and play his own style of football.

Vinicius has returned to training with Real Madrid after completing his period of rest following Brazil’s participation in the 2026 World Cup.

“Mourinho asked me to be: happy, cheerful, and to play football in my own style,” Vinicius added.

The meeting took place as Real Madrid begin preparations for the new season under Mourinho. Vinicius’ comments suggest the manager’s opening message was focused on the player’s attitude and freedom on the pitch, with the Brazilian encouraged to retain his individual approach.
