UFC fighter Alan Nascimento found dead at home aged 34

The mixed martial arts world is mourning Brazilian UFC fighter Alan Nascimento after he was found dead at his home while asleep at the age of 34.

UFC confirmed Nascimento’s death in an official statement published on its X account, saying he was discovered at home on the morning of the announcement without any signs of life. The news prompted an outpouring of grief and condolences from athletes, supporters and members of the mixed martial arts community around the world.

Initial assessments suggested that Nascimento may have suffered a sudden heart attack. However, no other indications surrounding his death have been reported at this stage, and the suspected cause has not been presented as a definitive finding.

Medical teams were called to the house after the incident was reported. They carried out extensive cardiopulmonary resuscitation attempts, but were unable to revive him. Nascimento was pronounced dead at the scene.
