Zamalek agree deals to re-sign Mohamed Mostafa ‘Lo3ba’ and Reda Heikal

Zamalek have completed agreements with Mohamed Mostafa “Lo3ba” and Reda Heikal to return to the club’s men’s volleyball team for the 2026-27 season.

The two players have agreed to rejoin Zamalek and sign contracts lasting one season, according to FilGoal.com. Their arrivals are intended to strengthen the squad ahead of the new campaign.

Zamalek were unable to win any men’s volleyball trophy last season, with Al Ahly claiming all the available honours. The club are now seeking to reinforce their team as they prepare for the next stage of competition.

Heikal previously left Zamalek to pursue spells abroad, playing professionally in Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates. His return will bring back a player who has already represented the club and who has gained further experience outside Egypt.

Mohamed Mostafa “Lo3ba” also played in the UAE Volleyball League during his time away from Zamalek. Like Heikal, he is now set to return to the Cairo club after an overseas professional experience.

The agreements with both players have been reached for one season, with Zamalek looking to add depth and quality to their men’s volleyball squad. Their signings form part of the club’s response after a season in which they did not win a men’s volleyball title.

The registration window at the Egyptian Basketball Federation is due to close on Sunday. Despite the moves involving Zamalek’s volleyball team, the deadline is the one stated in relation to the federation’s registration process.

Zamalek’s agreement with the pair gives the club two familiar options as it seeks to improve its fortunes in the coming season. Both Heikal and Mohamed Mostafa “Lo3ba” previously left the club for professional opportunities abroad before agreeing to return to the white-shirted side.

The deals remain for one season, and their purpose is to support the men’s volleyball team ahead of the new campaign. Al Ahly’s success across all men’s volleyball competitions last season has left Zamalek aiming to rebuild and compete more strongly.

The agreements were completed on Saturday, 1 August 2026, with Zamalek reaching terms with both players before the registration deadline on Sunday.
