Vozinha weighing RS Berkane switch after Colo-Colo move stalls

Vozinha, the Cape Verde goalkeeper, is close to reaching an agreement with Moroccan club RS Berkane after unexpectedly changing his plans to join Colo-Colo.

The 40-year-old had agreed to move to the Chilean side in recent days, but negotiations over a transfer to RS Berkane have now reached an advanced stage. He is understood to be discussing the final details of a potential contract with the Moroccan club.

According to Globo Esporte, the talks were reported by journalist Rafael Buzio, who said Vozinha is waiting for an official offer from RS Berkane before making a final decision about his future.

The goalkeeper is expected to travel to Morocco to complete the move, although no agreement has yet been formally announced.

Colo-Colo had already confirmed that it had signed Vozinha. The Chilean club published a photograph of the goalkeeper on its social media accounts alongside the message: “Welcome, we are waiting for you at the Monumental Stadium.”

However, Vozinha postponed his arrival in Chile for a third time in recent days. The repeated delays created uncertainty over whether the move to Colo-Colo would be completed and opened the way for a possible switch to Morocco.

RS Berkane are also in advanced negotiations with Cape Verde manager Bubista, who led the national team at the World Cup. If the Moroccan club completes an agreement with the coach, it is expected to make a formal approach for Vozinha.

Buzio said Vozinha will wait for that official proposal before deciding whether to commit his future to RS Berkane or revive the planned move to Colo-Colo.

The goalkeeper’s proposed transfer to Morocco would therefore represent a significant change of direction after Colo-Colo had publicly announced his arrival. The uncertainty surrounding his travel plans has left the Chilean club’s agreement unresolved, while RS Berkane are working to establish whether Vozinha can become part of their plans.

For now, the experienced goalkeeper remains without a confirmed new club. His next step is expected to become clearer once RS Berkane complete their negotiations with Bubista and submit the formal offer that Vozinha is awaiting.
