Egyptian club Egyptian await Al Ahly approval to sign goalkeeper Seha

A source at Egyptian club Egyptian says the club have agreed personal terms with Al Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed Ahmed “Seha” and are now waiting for the Cairo side to approve the transfer.

The move would strengthen Egyptian’s squad as they prepare for the new season under manager Emad El Nahhas. Negotiations over the proposed deal remain dependent on Al Ahly giving permission for the transfer to be completed.

“We have agreed on the personal terms to sign goalkeeper Mohamed Seha and are waiting for Al Ahly’s approval to complete the deal,” a source from Egyptian told FilGoal.com.

Egyptian have already added two players from Al Ahly during the current summer transfer window. Mohamed Shokry and Mostafa El Ash are both understood to have joined the club as part of the team’s preparations for the forthcoming campaign.

Shokry became Egyptian’s fourth signing of the summer after the club recruited Yassin El Mallah from Pharco, Algerian player Abdallah El Zayani from Difaa Hassani El Jadidi and El Ash from Al Ahly.

The potential arrival of Seha would provide further competition in Egyptian’s goalkeeping department. He joined Al Ahly at the start of the previous season after moving from Arab Contractors.

Seha made four appearances for Al Ahly, conceding five goals. He kept one clean sheet during those matches.

Al Ahly currently have three other goalkeepers listed in addition to Seha: Mostafa Shobeir, Mohamed El Shenawy and Hamza علاء. The club’s decision on the proposed move is therefore the remaining step before Egyptian can complete the signing.

The discussions come as Egyptian continue their efforts to reshape the squad ahead of the new season. The club’s recruitment has already included players from both domestic and overseas teams, with the additions of El Mallah, El Zayani, El Ash and Shokry announced or agreed during the summer.

No confirmation of the transfer has been issued by Al Ahly, while Egyptian are still waiting for the club’s approval before the deal can be finalised.
