Paris FC and Strasbourg prepare for Ligue 1 meeting with key absences

Paris FC and Strasbourg both have competitive squads but will be without several important players when they meet in the fifth round of the French championship. Both sides, however, have attacking options capable of deciding the game.

Paris FC

Paris FC are expected to be without Nhoa Sangui and Emmanuel Mbemba at left-back. Otavio and De Smet remain doubts, meaning Hamari Traore could again be asked to fill in on the left side of the defence.

Maxime Lopez and Pierre Lees-Melou have been in good form in midfield, while Lassine Sinayoko will be one of Strasbourg’s main concerns. Sinayoko has scored four goals this season, including a hat-trick against Marseille.

Strasbourg

Strasbourg will again be without Panichelli and Godo, their two leading scorers from last season. Oyedele is also a doubt.

The club could nevertheless rely on several summer signings, with Genesis Antwi, Jeyland Mitchell, Diogo Sousa and Jacobo Ortega all expected to have important roles. Oso made a particular impression by contributing decisively in the match against Monaco.
