Al Ahly agree to loan goalkeeper Mohamed Ahmed Seha to Al Masry

Al Ahly have agreed to let goalkeeper Mohamed Ahmed “Seha” join Al Masry on a season-long loan, according to a source at the Cairo club.

The move was approved by Al Ahly head coach Hussein Ammouta, with Al Masry seeking to strengthen their squad before the new season under manager Emad El Nahas.

A source at Al Ahly told FilGoal: “We have agreed to Seha’s move to Al Masry for one season on loan after receiving the approval of the team’s coach.”

Al Masry had previously approached Al Ahly about signing the young goalkeeper, and the agreement now allows Seha to continue his development with the Port Said club.

The loan is part of Al Masry’s ongoing efforts to add to their squad ahead of the new campaign. The club have already completed deals for two other Al Ahly players this summer, with Mohamed Shokry and Mostafa El Ash both moving to Al Masry.

Shokry became Al Masry’s fourth signing after the club recruited Yassin El Mallah from Pharco, Algeria international Abdallah El Zayani from DHJ Hassani El Jadidi and Mostafa El Ash from Al Ahly.

Seha joined Al Ahly at the beginning of last season after arriving from Al Mokawloon Al Arab. He made four appearances for the club, conceding five goals and keeping one clean sheet.

The goalkeeper’s departure on loan would leave Al Ahly with three other senior options in his position: Mostafa Shobeir, Mohamed El Shenawy and Hamza Alaa.

Al Masry’s decision to pursue Seha comes as the club continue reshaping their squad for the season ahead. Their recruitment has included both permanent additions and players arriving from Al Ahly, with the goalkeeper now set to become the latest player to move between the two clubs.

For Al Ahly, the agreement provides Seha with the opportunity to gain further first-team experience away from the club while retaining his registration through the loan arrangement. The young goalkeeper has so far played a limited number of matches for Al Ahly, making the proposed season-long spell at Al Masry his next competitive challenge.

The agreement was confirmed on Friday, 31 July 2026, with the source stating that Ammouta’s approval had been secured before the loan was accepted.
