West Ham, Leeds and Atalanta eye move for Ivory Coast midfielder Amadou Kone

West Ham, Leeds United and Atalanta are all interested in signing Ivory Coast midfielder Amadou Kone, just a year after his departure from European football.

The 21-year-old, who is currently under contract with Neom in the Saudi Pro League, has attracted attention from the Premier League, the English Championship and Serie A, according to French outlet Foot Mercato.

West Ham are reported to be among the frontrunners as they look to strengthen their squad for next season. The club are planning a rebuild after a difficult campaign and see Kone as a potential option to bolster their midfield options.

Leeds, recently relegated to the Championship (the second tier of English football), are also said to be in the race. Their priority is an immediate return to the Premier League, and the club are exploring reinforcements capable of improving their promotion prospects, with Kone identified as a possible target.

Interest is not limited to England. Atalanta, competing in Serie A, are also keen on the Ivorian international, Foot Mercato reports. The Bergamo side are believed to be monitoring Kone as they look to add further depth and energy to their midfield.

Kone left Europe only last year, moving away from Stade de Reims after his spell with the Ligue 1 club. His performances since then in Saudi Arabia have been enough to keep him on the radar of European recruiters.

The coming days of the transfer window are expected to be busy around his future, with three clubs from three different major leagues now linked with a move. While no agreement has yet been reported, the level of interest suggests a potential return to European football could develop quickly if negotiations progress.
