Bamba Dieng weighs England switch as Hull City and Middlesbrough open talks

Bamba Dieng is in negotiations with Hull City and Middlesbrough over a move to England after a proposed transfer to Turkish side Amedspor stalled.

The Senegal forward, who was recently understood to be close to joining Amedspor, has attracted renewed interest from England following a strong season in Ligue 1.

According to journalist Santi Aouna, the former FC Lorient striker is now in discussions with two English clubs: Hull City, newly promoted to the Premier League, and Championship side Middlesbrough. Talks are under way and the situation is expected to develop quickly.

Amedspor interest cools as England emerges

Africafoot had reported that Amedspor had identified Dieng as one of their priority signings for the current summer transfer window. However, the direction of the deal has shifted as English clubs have moved into contention.

Dieng, 26, scored 10 goals in Ligue 1 last season, a return that has significantly strengthened his reputation on the transfer market and put him on the radar of several suitors.

Impressed by the prospect of playing in England, the Senegal international is now thought to favour a move across the Channel as his next career step. A switch to Hull City or Middlesbrough would offer him the chance to test himself in English football after his spells in France.

Future likely away from Turkey

The coming days are expected to be crucial in determining Dieng’s next destination, with both interested English clubs continuing talks over a deal.

While Amedspor had previously been in a strong position to sign him, the player’s preference for a move to England and the concrete interest from Hull City and Middlesbrough mean his future now appears set to lie far from Turkey.

Dieng, who previously played for Marseille before joining FC Lorient, is being monitored closely by several clubs as negotiations progress, with his next move poised to shape the next phase of his career.
