Ittihad bid to reignite title push in 2026-27 Saudi Pro League as Thamnia takes over exclusive TV rights

Al Ittihad will launch their 2026-2027 Saudi Pro League campaign with the clear objective of restoring their title credentials, after a disappointing 2025-2026 season in which they failed to win a single trophy.

The Jeddah club, known as the Tigers, ended last term fifth in the Saudi Pro League standings, well adrift of champions Al Nassr, and also missed out on domestic cup success and continental glory.

Ittihad did not lift the King Cup and exited the AFC Champions League Elite, compounding a campaign that fell far short of expectations for a side accustomed to challenging for major honours.

Club focus on league response after trophyless year With the new season approaching, Ittihad’s priority is to re-establish themselves among the leading contenders in the Saudi Pro League, officially branded as the “Dawri Roshn as-Saudi”.

Their 2026-2027 league fixtures, results and position in the table will be tracked round by round, with updates expected after every matchday as they attempt to close the gap on Al Nassr and the rest of the title rivals.

Under the deal, Thamnia becomes the exclusive broadcaster of the Saudi Pro League (Dawri Roshn as-Saudi), the King Cup, the Saudi Super Cup and the Yelo League across the Middle East and North Africa.

The agreement covers six seasons, running from the 2025-2026 campaign through to 2030-2031, and centralises all major domestic football competitions under a single rights holder for the region.

Digital-first coverage for Saudi Pro League fans Thamnia will provide coverage of the Saudi Pro League from 2025-2026 onwards via a digital streaming platform, offering matches online through its official website with a range of subscription options.

The company has introduced tiered packages, including premium paid plans with higher picture quality and additional features, alongside free subscriptions for the upcoming season that are limited in quality and functionality compared with the paid bundles.

The Thamnia platform went live on 8 August 2025, giving fans time to register and explore the service ahead of the full roll-out of domestic league and cup fixtures.

Viewers will be able to follow Dawri Roshn as-Saudi, the King Cup, the Saudi Super Cup and the Yelo League through this online service, replacing traditional satellite coverage in the region under the new arrangement.

Access via mobile apps and online platforms To widen access, Thamnia has launched dedicated mobile applications for both major smartphone operating systems, enabling supporters to stream matches on the move.

Fans using Android devices can download the Thamnia app through Google Play, while those with Apple’s iPhone can access the service via the App Store.

The shift to a fully digital model means there are no traditional satellite frequencies for Thamnia channels to list, with all viewing instead routed through internet-based streaming.
