Kofi Fosuhene Asare returns to Sweden with Trelleborgs FF move

Kofi Fosuhene Asare is back in Swedish football after Trelleborgs FF confirmed the signing of the 24-year-old winger.

He arrives after spending 2026 with Banga Gargzdai in Lithuania, where he left the club around a week ago before sealing his move home. Asare played 17 games and scored three goals for Banga Gargzdai.

The transfer gives Trelleborg an attack-minded player with experience from several Swedish sides. Asare has previously represented Djurgårdens IF, Sandviken and Landskrona BoIS, so he already knows the rhythm and demands of the domestic game.

For Asare, the move is also a fresh start. He said that signing for Trelleborg felt right and that he is looking forward to getting going with his new teammates.
