Mali centre-forward Moussa Samake has joined ASA Targu Mures on loan from CFR Cluj as the Liga 2 side move to strengthen their attack for the new campaign. The 21-year-old switches from the SuperLiga club on a temporary deal confirmed on 10 July 2026.

Samake, who was born in Bamako and stands at 1.85m, arrives after a series of loan spells designed to give him regular senior football. He has already built up solid experience in Romanias second tier, with more than 30 Liga 2 appearances and a double-figure goal return, as well as outings in the Romanian Cup and play-off and play-out phases.

The right-footed striker spent last season on loan at Concordia from CFR Cluj, having previously been borrowed by ACSM Resita and CSM Olimpia Satu Mare after stepping up from CFR Clujs under-19 side. His performances in Liga 2 and the domestic cup, where he has contributed both goals and an assist, have underlined his ability to adapt quickly across different competitions.

Samake has also had a brief taste of top-flight and European qualifying action with CFR Cluj, featuring in the SuperLiga and in Europa League qualifying, but consistent minutes have so far come in the second tier.

The deal includes a scheduled return to CFR Cluj at the end of the 2026-27 season, meaning Samakes spell at ASA Targu Mures is set to run for one campaign before his loan expires.
