Rafiki Said, the Comoros-born French left winger currently at Standard Liege, is being linked with a summer move to Championship side Wolves as the Midlands club look to strengthen their wide options ahead of the new season.

The 26-year-old, who prefers to operate off the left but is right-footed, has emerged as a potential target after a solid first year in Belgium. Said made 27 appearances in the Jupiler Pro League last season, contributing five goals and three assists, and added three goals and two assists in 10 matches during the Belgian Europe play-offs to underline his impact in the final third.

Said joined Standard Liege from Troyes in July 2025 for a fee of 2.5 million and has since seen his market value rise to 5 million. Any deal is likely to require a significant outlay, with the winger under contract at Stade Maurice Dufrasne until June 2028, leaving the Belgian club in a strong negotiating position.

Before moving to Belgium, Said built his reputation in French football. He featured regularly in Ligue 2, recording 26 goals and 12 assists in 98 appearances, and also had spells higher up the pyramid with Ligue 1 side Brest. That experience across the French leagues, combined with his recent performances in Belgium, has drawn attention as Wolves reshape their squad following relegation to the Championship.

No formal agreement is thought to be in place, and Standard Liege are under no pressure to sell, with Said tied down for a further two years on his current deal.
