Joseph Attamah: Ghana defender leaves Corum FK to join Sariyerspor in Turkeys 1. Lig
Ghanaian centre-back Joseph Attamah has joined Sariyerspor from Corum FK, completing a move that keeps the experienced defender in Turkish footballs professional ranks. The 32-year-old, born in Accra, switches to the 1. Lig side after a spell with Corum in which he added further top-level minutes to an already extensive career in the country.
Attamah, a right-footed central defender standing at 1.80m, arrives at Sariyerspor with significant experience across Turkeys top two tiers. He has made close to 200 appearances in the Super Lig and more than 100 in the 1. Lig, as well as featuring in domestic cup competitions and European qualifiers during his time in the country.
Before his move to Sariyerspor, Attamah joined Corum FK on a free transfer from Kayserispor in the summer of 2025, continuing a long association with Turkish clubs. His profile was first raised during a spell at Adana Demirspor, which earned him a switch to Istanbul Basaksehir, where he went on to feature in league, cup and European competition, including Champions League and Europa League qualifying rounds.
Loan spells at Caykur Rizespor and Fatih Karagumruk further broadened his experience, adding promotion play-offs and more high-pressure fixtures to his record. Across league and cup action in Turkey, he has amassed well over 25,000 minutes of senior football and contributed goals and assists from the back line.
Attamah, whose current market value is listed at around 350,000, now links up with Sariyerspor ahead of the new campaign as the Istanbul-based club shape their squad for the 1. Lig season.
