Bonaventure Lendambi: Vasteras SK sign Congo striker from Grassrunners FC

Vasteras SK have completed the signing of Congo centre-forward Bonaventure Lendambi from Nigerian side Grassrunners FC in a permanent transfer for the 2026/27 season.

The 20-year-old, who stands at 1.87m and plays primarily as a central striker, moves to the Allsvenskan side with a current market value of 175,000. He joins the Swedish club from Grassrunners after an 18month spell on the books of the Nigerian outfit.

Lendambis move to Vasteras SK follows a rapid rise in his valuation during a loan stint in Austria earlier in 2026. The Brazzaville-born forward spent the second half of the 2025/26 campaign at Schwarz-Wei Bregenz, where his market value increased from 100,000 in March 2026 to 175,000 by May 2026.

After returning from that loan at the end of June 2026, Lendambi briefly reverted to Grassrunners FC before finalising his transfer to Vasteras SK on 8 July 2026. The switch takes him from Nigerian domestic football into Swedens top flight, marking another step in his progression through different footballing environments.

Before moving to Nigeria, Lendambi played for AS Jeunesse Unie de Kintele in his home country, joining Grassrunners FC from the Congolese club at the start of 2025. Primarily right-footed, he has been used through the middle in attack throughout his recent career.

Born on 14 November 2005 in Brazzaville and now aged 20, Lendambi arrives at Vasteras SK as a developing centre-forward with experience in Congo, Nigeria and Austria.
