Mohamed Islam Abdelkader: MC Algiers sign Paradou attacking midfielder in Ligue 1 move

MC Algiers have completed the signing of attacking midfielder Mohamed Islam Abdelkader from Paradou AC in a permanent deal for the 2026-27 Ligue 1 season. The 22-year-old Algerian moves within the top flight after emerging from Paradous ranks, with the transfer finalised on 8 July 2026. The fee has not been disclosed.

Abdelkader, born in Reghaia on 6 February 2004, joins MC Algiers as an attacking midfield option after a rapid rise in domestic football. Primarily deployed in the No.10 role, he leaves Paradou having progressed from their youth system to the first team over the past two seasons.

The move marks the latest step in a swift escalation of his standing in Algerian football. Abdelkader was promoted from Paradou AC U21 to the senior side on 1 July 2024 and established himself there before earning a transfer to MC Algiers two years later. His development has coincided with a sharp increase in his market valuation.

Abdelkaders market value has climbed from 25,000 in January 2025 to 800,000 by June 2026 while at Paradou, reflecting his growing importance and performances in Ligue 1. That figure stands as his current estimated value as he arrives at MC Algiers.

The Algeria youth product now links up with one of the countrys most prominent clubs, remaining in the domestic top division as he continues his career at MC Algiers.
