Idrissa Seydi: US Orleans sign Senegal forward from FC Rouen in National move

US Orleans have completed the signing of Senegalese centre-forward Idrissa Seydi from FC Rouen 1899 in a standard transfer between the two Championnat National (Ligue 3) clubs.

Seydi, 27, joins Orleans after a season with Rouen, where his development has been reflected in a rising market valuation, which climbed from 300,000 in October 2025 to 400,000 by March 2026 and remained at that level in May. The transfer fee has not been disclosed.

The left-footed attacker, who stands at 1.78m, has established himself as a central striker in the French third tier, and his move keeps him in the same division while changing clubs. Born in Madina Gounass, Senegal, he represents Orleans as his latest step in a career built entirely in French football.

Seydis move to Orleans follows a rapid sequence of transfers in recent seasons. He joined Rouen from fellow National side US Avranches in September 2025, having previously moved to Avranches from SU Dives-Cabourg in July 2024. His performances across these clubs have coincided with his steady increase in market value to its current 400,000 level.

Before establishing himself in the National, Seydi featured for lower-tier French sides including SU Dives-Cabourg and US Chateauneuf-sur-Loire, with earlier spells at Moulins-Yzeure Foot 03 and US Ascq after arriving from an undisclosed club in 2017. Short periods without a club in 2018 and 2019 preceded his climb through the French system.

By securing Seydi from a direct National rival, Orleans add a forward in his peak years whose profile has strengthened consistently over the past two seasons.
